The versatile Dawn Row Cleaner / Coulter Combination Mount can be reconfigured to fit a wide variety of tillage conditions, residue levels, crop rotations and planter row unit spacings. Here are some important things to note about this tool.
• Designed to slice through dense, fibrous residue (i.e. BT corn, stripper head harvested wheat), then kick trash out, at the desired disturbance level.
• Self-cleaning! As the coulter travels out of ground, the Trashwheels travel into the oncoming residue stream, shearing any potential build-up away.
•In addition to straddling the trailing edge of the cutting coulter, the screw-adjust Trashwheels straddle the leading edge of the Vee opener, so that they closely follow the action of the planter unit gauge wheels. Additionally, this overlap channels residue to clear a path for both gauge wheels to run on level ground.
•Fits on most John Deere, Kinze, and White planters without the need for long parallel links. The overall length, from faceplate to coulters edge is 20.8".
•Coulters can greatly extend the life of your Vee opener blade!
The 14" Trashwheel Row Cleaner is designed to aggressively bite into trash, and is commonly used in a no-till or min-till environment. Trashwheels must be bolted in the rear hole of the stem in order to straddle the trailing edge of the coulter blade. The coulter may be removed when running in mellow, or heavily worked ground. After removing the coulter, 14" Trashwheels can be set to run offset or intersecting.
The 12.75" Trashwheel Row Cleaner has a swept-back tooth. This wheel works well in conventionally tilled ground, and also when running no-till into wheat stubble. The John Deere 1770NT, 1780 and 1790, and the White 8000 series planters have limited clearance for planter attachments. For these planters you will likely use the 12.75" wheel. The 14" has a number of interference problems on those planters.

You should use the ripple coulter if you would like to cleanly cut residue. It is particularly effective in no-till, and/or in BT corn. Part No. 9065, w/hub Kit No. 400059
The 13-wave is a good all purpose coulter, and provides a balanced mix of cutting and tilling action. Part No. 9064, w/hub Kit No. 400057
This blade is the most aggressive blade for tilling. This coulter will work the seed zone, but may not cleanly cut some types of residue. Part No. 9089, w/hub Kit No. 400058
The 8-wave is often used on tillage tools, but can also be equipped on planters. It works the widest slot. Part No. 9063, w/hub Kit No. 400056
